Excelsior College is an external degree program assessment and evaluation center. Excelsior College is a fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Commission on Higher Education. All Excelsior College programs are registered by the New York State Department of Education and are National League of Nursing accredited. The college was founded in 1970 to provide a means for evaluation. This college is different from traditional schools. They believe that what you know is more important than how you learned it. The majority of students enrolled are adult learners with years of practical experience. The associate degrees at Excelsior College are comparable to those of traditional two year colleges. The BSN program is comparable to a traditional four year nursing program. Over 250 graduate universities and 95% of graduate nursing schools have accepted Excelsior College graduates who wish to go on to graduate studies.

Excelsior College will evaluate your transcripts and schedule your clinical assessment at one of the cooperating research hospitals. You will meet the ASN or BSN degree requirements with the successful completion of the clinical assessment. You will be invited to the graduation ceremony if you wish to attend.
