After you complete all of your credit
requirements, the last step is for you to prove your
skills at the Excelsior College (formerly Regents College)
clinical(s).

ASN
students you have only 1 clinical
exam to complete. The Clinical Performance
in Nursing Exam (CPNE) is a weekend clinical at 1 of
17 locations across the country.
There is no
instruction during the clinical exam. Excelsior
College will only observe you to determine your
skill competency. Your prior training and work
experience is key to passing the CPNE.
BSN
students must complete three weekend clinicals – the
CPNE, the HAPE/TPE, and the PRPE. You are eligible
